We’re in the midst of a brutal heatwave in New York City, and the two things getting me through it are my air conditioner and my Wonder Oven. The AC keeps my apartment comfortably filled with cool air, of course, while the Wonder Oven lets me cook pretty much anything I want — from roasting to air frying — without warming up my kitchen. This game-changing 6-in-1 appliance truly lives up to its name, and it’s become my go-to for everyday meal prep, not just in the summer but all year round. Right now, you can score the Wonder Oven on sale for $155 (normally $195) during Prime Day, and let me tell you a bit more about why you should add it to your cart (and your kitchen).

For starters, Wonder Oven, from the brand behind the beloved Always Pan, is compact and super versatile. It can bake, toast, roast, broil, air fry, and reheat, so I can tackle pretty much any meal-prep task right on my countertop. It also has a steam function that turns stale bread fluffy on the inside and adds juicy tenderness to fish and meat. And, while the oven — which comes in Our Place’s signature Blue Salt, Steam, Spice, and Char colors — may look small, its interior is large enough to roast a 4.5-pound chicken or cook dishes on two levels at once.

The simplicity of the Wonder Oven has also inspired me to cook more. My regular oven serves mostly as storage for all of my baking pans, and I don’t have the patience to keep emptying it out and restocking it every time I cook. With the Wonder Oven, I’m only dealing with the included wire rack, nonstick bake pan, and air fryer basket, so preparing a meal — and cleaning up afterward — is effortless. I’ve even cut down on food waste and started eating more vegetables since getting the Wonder Oven. Some of my favorite things to make in it are air-fried sweet potato fries, roasted Brussels sprouts, and roasted mini sweet bell peppers. In the past, my produce often languished in the fridge until it went bad, but now that I can whip up a delicious dish so quickly, everything gets used up. I’m even reheating those leftovers that used to sit in the freezer for far too long.

The Wonder Oven has replaced my oven and pretty much every other small appliance in my kitchen because it really can do it all, including make indoor s’mores. It’s a great addition for any home, especially for those with tiny kitchens or limited space, singles or couples wanting to prep smaller meals, or anyone wanting to enjoy their favorite fried foods using much less oil. Amazon’s Prime Day deal only lasts until July 17, so snag yours while you can!
