Britney Spears Expands Family Amid Divorce From Sam Asghari
Britney Spears welcomed a new addition to her family!
In an Instagram video shared on Aug. 23, the pop icon revealed that she adopted a puppy named Snow.
The pooch, which appears to be a Maltese, is shown walking around the artist's carpet. Spears asks the pup if she'd like to be picked up, with Snow happily allowing her mom to carry her in the sweet clip.
The camera then cuts to Snow hanging out in bed with Spears, making her way up her mom's torso and giving her kisses. In a baby voice, Spears tells the dog she's being a "good girl." Instead of giving the puppy a traditional dog toy as a treat, the superstar opted for a baby pacifier, but Snow doesn't seem to mind, munching on it contently.
Spears captioned the clip, "Introducing Snow … the new edition [sic] to the family … it's her world and we just live in it ?????♀? ?????♀? ?????♀? !!!"
The news of the "Lucky" singer adopting a dog comes a day after TMZ reported that Spears and soon-to-be ex-husband Sam Asghari reached an agreement for splitting custody of their five shared dogs.
A source told the tabloid that Asghari took the former couple's Doberman, Porsha, while Spears got to keep their four other dogs, including an Australian shepherd named Sawyer and a Yorkie called Hannah.
Reports of their separation surfaced on Aug. 16, with Asghari officially filing for divorce from the pop star on the following day.
Spears broke her silence on the separation in an Instagram post, writing, "As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together… 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I'm a little shocked but …I'm not here to explain why because its [sic] honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly!!!"
