How Britney Spears' Sons Are Handling Wildfires After Moving to Hawaii
Britney Spears' sons Jayden and Sean, who live with dad Kevin Federline in Hawaii, are confirmed to be safe amid the Maui wildfires.
Federline's attorney Vincent Kaplan told Page Six that the teens are not affected personally by the deadly fires, but "there's people in the area that are dying and having their homes destroyed, so it's very traumatic."
Kaplan added, "Obviously, right now, everyone is very sad about what's going on there with the fires and the casualties from the fires, but other than the trauma from that, they're very happy to be there."
A source close to Federline also told TMZ that the family isn't directly affected because their rental home, which they moved into two weeks ago, is on a neighboring island.
Multiple wildfires started on the Hawaiian island on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Lahaina, a popular tourist town, has seen the most devastation, with up to 55 people killed and the whole area destroyed.
In a video shared on social media, a Lahaina native showed how apocalyptic the town looks after being ravaged by the fires.
"This is what it looked like earlier on Maui. If you've been to my hometown of Lahaina...I fear it is no longer. I dread what it will look like in the morning. An apocalyptic scene is unfolding due to the fires raging across my island. Please pray for us," read a tweet, which showed footage taken from a boat, showing the town ablaze.
