Britney Spears is speaking out again to contest an end to her conservatorship.

The pop star spoke via phone in court today after she was approved by Judge Brenda Penny to chose her own legal representation in her heated battle to terminate her father Jamie Spears's control over her personal and professional life.

According to CNN, the "Toxic" singer expressed that she wants to formally charge her father with "conservatorship abuse" and remove him from the helm of her legal guardianship. “I want to press charges against my father today," Spears said in court. “I want an investigation into my dad.”

Spears also stated that she was "extremely scared" of her dad and that she is not willing to be medically evaluated to remove him from the conservatorship, NBC News reports. "This conservatorship has allowed my dad to ruin my life...Their goal was to make me feel crazy and I'm not, and that's not OK," the pop star added, per NBC.

Spears described the conditions of her conservatorship as "f—ing cruelty" and also broke down crying during her testimony, according to multiple outlets. Her latest revelations come after she addressed the court in a nearly 30-minute address last month, where she expressed that life under the conservatorship for the last 13 years has left her angry, depressed, and unable to sleep.

"I thought they were trying to kill me," stated Spears during today's address. "If this is not abuse, I don't know what is."
