Brittany Mahomes Teases Husband Patrick for Quarterback’s Photoshoot Fashion Pick

Brittany Mahomes had a hilarious response to her husband Patrick Mahomes' shoe choice during a recent Kansas City Chiefs photoshoot.
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, the team posted a video on Instagram that gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how the team picks its captains for NFL playoff games.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, whose whirlwind romance with pop star Taylor Swift has elevated him to a new level of fame this season, said in the video that the Chiefs had “multiple captains” throughout the season to “lead this team into battle.” Once the team made it to the NFL playoffs, Coach Andy Reid initiated a team vote to select which players would serve as captains for the remainder of the season, Kelce explained.

Kelce and Patrick were selected during that team vote and appeared in a video showing the captain photoshoot. While both players wore suits as they striked poses for a photographer, Mahomes' white Crocs quickly drew attention on set. In contrast, Kelce and the other captains wore dress shoes and sneakers.
“Do I need shoes?” Patrick asked. When asked if he has any alternative shoe options, Patrick responded, “I don’t even know what shoes I have.”
By the end of the video, Patrick appeared to have traded his Crocs for a pair of shiny black dress shoes.
A close-up of the quarterback’s Crocs-clad feet is the video’s thumbnail image on Instagram. “Surely QB1 didn’t wear crocs to the playoffs captains shoot,” the team said in its caption for the video.
The team’s equipment department commented on the post, predicting that Crocs stock would climb after fans saw Patrick wearing the brand.
Brittany also left a response to the video. “I definitely put shoes in there….come onnnnn,” she teased, tagging her husband in her comment.
The Chiefs next play on Sunday, Jan. 21 in a game against the Buffalo Bills. Kansas City is striving to make it to another Super Bowl. If the team is successful, it would be the Chiefs’ fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.
