Brooks Laich Just Said He’s Enjoying Self-Isolation in Idaho Without His Wife, Julianne Hough

  • Brooks Laich says he’s enjoying self-isolating in Idaho because it gives him a chance to reconnect with nature.

  • Brooks is quarantining away from his wife, Julianne Hough.

Things between Julianne Hough and her hubby, Brooks Laich, are a little eyebrow-raising at the moment. At the beginning of the year, Brooks and Julianne were reportedly having some issues in their marriage that they were trying to get through, but now the couple is separated while they’re self-isolating.

Brooks is staying at a property they own in Idaho, while Julianne is shacked up at their Los Angeles home. And while distance can be hard on even the strongest couples, Brooks is out here openly admitting that he’s enjoying the quarantine by himself...which is a little ??.

On Gavin DeGraw’s How Men Think podcast, Brooks revealed that being in Idaho is allowing him to thrive, and he actually prefers it to more crowded environments.

“I just love being up here. I’ve never spent enough time here, so I’m doing okay with it. But I’ve always been that way, even when I was younger,” he said. “When I was a young kid, I didn’t need to be around friends all the time. I liked it, I had great friends, I still have great friends to this day, but there’s a part of me that enjoys isolation and there’s a part of me that actually gets drained when I’m around too many people.”

Now this may not seem like tea at first, but Brooks’ comments came directly after Julianne was spotted hanging out with actor Ben Barnes and made a shady Instagram Story post that read, “Never betray yourself to be loyal to others.” IDK about you, but it feels like something’s going on here.

Not sure what this means for Brooks and Julianne, but hopefully, they can work out whatever’s going on between them once they’re reunited and isolation is a thing of the past!
