Bruce Springsteen Postpones All September Concerts to Undergo Medical Treatment
Bruce Springsteen is taking a break from tour to prioritize his health.
The rocker and his E-Street Band have announced the postponement of all performances currently scheduled for September, as the "Born in the U.S.A." artist is undergoing medical treatment.
In a statement shared to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday night, Sept. 6, the music group explained the situation, including what fans can expect to come.
"Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow's show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.," the social media announcement opened.
It continued: "Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and the decision of his medical advisors is that he should postpone the remainder of his September shows."
Additionally, the image provided a comment from Springsteen, himself, on the situation, where he expressed his feelings on taking time away to handle his personal health.
"Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support," he noted.
The rocker did, however, end off on a positive note, promising, "We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon," before signing off, "Love and God bless all, Bruce."

The communication further assured fans they'd be notified of rescheduled dates when they are planned, which from the looks of it, affect eight shows throughout the month along the East coast in New York, Maryland, Washington, DC, Connecticut, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
As Parade previously reported, the 73-year-old had fallen "ill" last month, causing him to be unable to perform for concerts at the time.
