BTS has been crushing the music scene since their debut in 2013, but for the past two years, they've been on another level of excellence. Celebrating five consecutive No. 1 singles, their third and fourth consecutive No. 1 albums, and a Grammy nod only scratches the surface of the success the K-pop boyband achieved since 2019. After working nonstop for so long, it's only right that they indulge in some much-needed rest and relaxation. Big Hit Music management team announced that BTS will be taking some time off after they wrap up their Permission to Dance on Stage and Jingle Ball tour dates.

"This period of rest will provide the members of BTS, who have tirelessly committed themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy," Big Hit said. "It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season with their families. We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves, albeit for a short while, during their period of rest."

They won't be gone for too long, though. BTS will be back refreshed and recharged for a March 2022 concert in Seoul. New music will definitely be on the way as well. "BTS will be focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will mark the beginning of a new chapter," the statement added.

Big Hit's statement closed with a special message for the BTS Army. 'We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the fans who continue to cheer for BTS and they will return as their best, healthiest selves after recharging so they can return all the love from the fans."
