Burger King Brings the Heat With 2 'Fiery' Menu Items
Burger King is adding two menu items to their lineup just in time for spring and summer eats!
The mouthwatering items feature spicy chicken, so as the weather heats up, so will the fast food eatery's options.
According to food blogger Instagram account Markie Devo, the chain restaurant is launching a new Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap, along with bringing back its Fiery Nuggets.
In a new social media post shared on Thursday, Feb. 29, the snack expert shared a glimpse of the items, along with some flavor notes. "Is it hot in here or is it just Burger King????," the caption read.
The details stated that the "Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap features crispy white meat chicken breast fillet coated in a spicy Buffalo glaze and a creamy Buffalo sauce with juicy tomato and crisp lettuce in a soft warm tortilla," while the returning "Fiery Nuggets feature bite-sized white meat chicken nuggets coated in a spicy Buffalo glaze for heat and flavor in every bite."
The duo of options are set to drop nationwide on March 7 at participating locations, for ~$2.99 each.
In the comment section, fast food lovers dropped in to express their feelings about the menu items to-come, like one social media user, who simply thought it was "interesting."
“Since their initial launch to menus nationwide last year, our Royal Crispy Wraps quickly became the most popular limited time offering (LTO) to hit Burger King menus in the U.S. within the last four years,” says Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King North America, per QSR. “Despite being launched as an LTO, wraps are here to stay. And, we’re excited to bring a new flavor to Guests with Fiery Buffalo, which brings a tangy, buttery buffalo flavor with the perfect amount of spice.”
This news comes on the heels of Burger King hitting back at Wendy's new proposed "surge pricing," shared earlier this week.
In response to the latter possibly raising prices during times that are busier—such as breakfast and lunch—as part of a "dynamic" pricing system, the former issued a comeback, offering free Whopper burgers this week, alongside the social media statement, "the only thing surging at BK is the ??. we don't believe in charging people more when they're hungry."
