Burger King's menu just got a whole lot sweeter–literally.
The fast food joint announced Wednesday, April 3, that it will release a new frozen drink that's perfect for the warmer months–reminiscent of a popular Starbucks secret menu item. Along with the sweet treat comes an additional menu option that can be added to nearly any beverage.
So what can fans expect to see on menus in the coming weeks? Burger King's Frozen Cotton Candy and cold foam cloud topping.
The fun new drink is said to combine the perfect amount of blue raspberry and cotton candy flavors with chilly ice, ideal for hot and humid days on the horizon. According to a press release shared with Parade, the cool new drink is set to be available at participating locations beginning Thursday, April 11, while supplies last.
BK's Frozen Cotton Candy is also being joined by a new cold foam topper that can be added to any drink on its menu for an additional charge–sodas, frozen drinks, coffee, you name it!
"After bringing the heat last summer with the successful launch of our Frozen Fanta? Kickin’ Mango, we wanted to cool things off a bit this season with our new, refreshingly sweet Frozen Cotton Candy beverage offerings,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer at Burger King North America, in a statement. “And our innovative cold foam topper is just another way we’re bringing ‘Have It Your Way’ to life, giving Guests the option to add another layer of flavor to their frozen beverages.”
In honor of the new menu items, BK also launched a game–the Cloud Float–on its app that will allow users the opportunity to score even more rewards, perks and free swag.
