A year after Decade opened in the former Butchertown Grocery, the restaurant launched a new way to enjoy its artsy space.

Just in time for summer, Decade, 1076 E. Washington St., recently launched a happy hour menu, complete with a few items only available for a 1-hour window during the week.

Along with half-off priced glasses of wine and $2 off draft beer, two special cocktails are on the menu.

One called “Pretty Woman” is made with bourbon, amaro, sugar and bitters, and another called "Old Friends” is made with tequila, Cocchi Americano, bitters, rhubarb, strawberry and lime.

The menu also offers three food items, including smoked chicken wings ($13) tossed in a sweet and tangy soy glaze as well as house-made jalape?o chips served with beer cheese ($10). A “decade single” ($10) can be ordered “dressed as you like” with beef from 3D Valley Farm in Depauw, Indiana, or Impossible meat, plus a side of fries. Bacon can be added to the smashburger-style dish for $1.

Happy hour runs from 5-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, adding some casual options to some fine-dining fare. Decade is open 5-10 p.m. Monday -Saturday and its regular menu changes seasonally, with three categories:  small, medium and large.
