Caitlyn Jenner Shares 'Sad' Update in Relationship With Ex Kris
Caitlyn and Kris Jenner
Caitlyn Jenner is providing an update on where she stands with ex-wife Kris Jenner.
The former spouses were married for over 20 years before announcing their separation in 2013. Their divorce was later finalized in 2015, shortly before Caitlyn came out as a transgender woman.
Now, the I Am Cait alum, 73, is sharing her current relationship status with Kris, revealing that the pair aren't exactly on speaking terms.
"Well Kris, I really never talk to anymore," the former Olympic gold medalist divulged during an interview with ITV1's This Morning, calling it "sad" that the exes aren't in contact with each other after so many years together.
"If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others," added Caitlyn, who shares daughters Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26, with The Kardashians star.
"I certainly see them and we do this and that," Caitlyn added, noting that she's "much closer to the Jenner side," despite helping to raise Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian after the death of their father Robert Kardashian in 2003.
"But Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her," Caitlyn stated. "It's kind of sad because we went through a lot."
In addition to Kendall and Kylie, Caitlyn is also a a parent to sons Brandon Jenner, 42, and Brody Jenner, 40, with ex-wife Linda Thompson, as well as Burt Jenner, 45, and Cassandra Marino, 43, whom he shares with first wife, Chrystie Scott.
The former decathlete took part in the new interview to plug her brand new three-part tell-all series, House of Kardashian, which is expected to release later this week.
While talking about her decision to be a part of the new series, Caitlyn explained, "I wanted to protect my family. I'm a parent, I love my children."
"You know the Kardashian side and a little bit of the Jenner side, but I think a lot of times in the media you get totally misrepresented, so I wanted to do it just to say first of all how much I love my kids, and second of all how proud I am of them and what they’ve been able to accomplish," she added, calling it "an amazing story."
House of Kardashian is set to premiere on Sky Documentaries on Sunday, Oct. 8.
