We're big fans of Bundt cakes for Thanksgiving. In fact, we put a chocolate Bundt cake on our November issue's cover because we believe in them so much. We really think you should make one for Thanksgiving instead of pie because of how simple and delicious they are.

So imagine my surprise when I walked into the Costco grocery section and was met with a new Bundt cake just in time for the holiday. Stack upon stack of Posh Pantry's Butter Pecan Bundt Cake stood in front of the freezer section, and with those flavors—and a price tag of just $11—it's hard to pass it by.

The cake's cover describes it as a "brown sugar butter cake" with a "velvety toffee buttercream and toasted pecans."

We tested the cake and can say that it's divine. It received rave reviews for being surprisingly tender. Considering most pre-made cakes travel quite a ways before you ever pick one up and put it in your cart, they tend to lose their moisture and tenderness, but this one hasn't.

The frosting feels very near to a Southern caramel frosting, but with a touch more creaminess since it is a buttercream. It has a cooked brown sugar flavor that is instantly identifiable as toffee or caramel. It's quite delicious and helps keep the cake from being overly sweet—though it is certainly sweet. One editor commented she liked the cake portion by itself, but with the frosting the butter pecan flavors come together.

Pecans are sprinkled atop the frosting, but if we're being honest, it could use some more. In fact, if you pick up this cake for Thanksgiving, we suggest you give it a semi-homemade touch with additional candied pecans. Which you can do on the cheap since a two-pound bag of pecan halves is a steal at just $11.79 at Costco.
