Call the Kids! FAO Schwarz Is Back in Business
Are you a parent? Do you like saving money? We’ve got some bad (but also really good) news. FAO Schwarz, everyone’s favorite iconic toy store (and the oldest in the U.S. to boot), is back and—heads up—your kids are going to freak. (Seriously, if they haven’tseen the “Chopsticks” scene from Big, rent the movie ASAP.)
After closing its doors in 2015, it seemed like the toy store was pretty much gone for good. But, lo and behold, FAO has opened a shop-in-shop in New York City’s Bergdorf Goodman that will be open until December 31.
The store will bring back many of its iconic toys (piano floor mat, anyone?) as well as a holiday collection that is also available online starting today.
Thanksgiving plans? Looks like we’re taking the kids to the Big Apple. OK, fine, you got us. We’re definitely way more excited than they are.
