Hallmark has finally shared a first look at this year's When Calls the Heart: Home for Christmas, which is the first of the show's holiday movies that will not star Lori Loughlin.

The special will air on Christmas night, which is the perfect present to hold us over until the seventh season starts in February. The event will be missing Lori’s character Abigail Stanton, as Lori was fired from all Hallmark projects following her alleged involvement in the college admissions scandal.

The two-hour event follows the Hope Valley residents as they prepare for the holidays and for the Christmas festival thrown by Lucas (Chris McNally). Meanwhile, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) gets ready for little Jack’s first Christmas and birthday, all while remembering her late husband Jack—though the love triangle we saw at the end of season 6 seems to be pretty present here, as well.

If the photos are any indication, it looks like viewers are in for a treat. With towering Christmas trees and lavish decorations, Hope Valley looks like the ideal place to spend the season.

WCTH went on an extended break in February after Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were charged in the nationwide college admissions scam. They were alleged to have paid bribes totaling $500,000 to help their two daughters get into the University of Southern California. Lori and Mossimo plead not guilty.

When WCTH continued the halted season six in May, Hallmark decided to remove any trace of Lori in the new episodes by saying Abigail had to take care of her sick mother.

While Hearties were sad to lose both Abigail and her son Cody, they were relieved to hear the show would be returning for a seventh season. And we're sure this film is going to be the best yet, too!
