Camila Cabello Talks L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth, Beauty Tips and Environmentalism
Camila Cabello — a L’Oréal Paris spokesperson since 2017 — is a regular at the company’s Women of Worth event.
“I remember the first year I ever attended Women of Worth, I was doing so much press and the promotional circuit at the time, I barely had the energy to go to another event,” Cabello said. “Immediately upon arriving, I was so glad I came because I was so inspired by all the other incredible women involved. From then on, no matter what else I had going on, I knew I had to make this event and show up for these women who are real heroes.”

2023 L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth honorees attended the 18th annual L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth Celebration in Hollywood on Nov. 16. In addition to Cabello, fellow stars Helen Mirren, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell and Aja Naomi King attended the ceremony.
Cabello’s been focusing on getting back in touch with nature, continuing her skin care regimen and inspiring women leaders of tomorrow.
As a longtime pop star since her days as a member of Fifth Harmony, Cabello’s had a dedicated fan base of young women and girls looking up to her. One of the reasons she likes being involved with L’Oréal Paris is to inspire the next generation of women leaders, she said.
“I believe in the butterfly effect where we are all interconnected,” Cabello said. “Everytime I leave the Women of Worth event, I come out feeling like I want to do more for the world. Everyone positively impacts each other when one person does one good thing. I’ve had people who’ve been my fans since they were kids, and I’ve got to run into them and see them blossom from shy young teens into adults who are happy and thriving. Many of them have really found their paths as women, and it makes me so happy to see.”
She lists journalist Krista Tippett, director Sofia Coppola and fellow actress Kerry Washington as women who inspire her.
“Always devour knowledge. Between books, film and podcasts, there are so many incredible ways to learn. Learning makes it exciting to be alive,” Cabello advised.
Cabello said she feels environmentalism is one of the most pressing issues of our time. In 2013, L’Oréal Paris decided to address the the development of its beauty through a global sustainability program, “Sharing Beauty With All,” announcing tangible sustainability goals toward 2020. In 2020, the company launched L’Oréal for the Future, outlining its sustainability goals toward 2030, such as reaching carbon neutrality. In September, the company launched a 15 million-euro climate emergency fund to aid those affected by natural disaster strikes.
“The ecological crisis and the loss biodiversity is one of the biggest issues of our time,” Cabello said. “In my own life, I try to buy as eco-friendly as possible and look for sustainable products. I also work on having a relationship with nature and enjoying things like hiking and the outdoors. We need to have a relationship with our planet to understand why we need to protect it.”
Outside of her work with L’Oréal Paris, Cabello has also been in the studio working on new music, although she declined to confirm any forthcoming album or song collaborations. Her new film, “Trolls Band Together,” where she voices the character Vivia, was released in theaters on Nov. 17, and opened at number two at the box office, grossing more than $30 million domestically.
