Camilla Parker Bowles Revealed an Injury on Her Hand at a Royal Event
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, paid a visit to the Sandringham Flower Show in King’s Lynn, England, on Wednesday. The event came a day after Camilla ate ice cream with Judi Dench at one of Queen Victoria’s favorite homes - but this time, she made the appearance with a cast on her finger.
It turns out Camilla cut her finger on Tuesday and had a fresh cast placed on her finger. She told Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English “it was only a small nick,” and the cast was bothering her more than the injury ever did. She reportedly told a well-wisher, "I’ve cut my finger so I’m left-handed today," as they shook hands.
The Sandringham Flower Show is apparently Charles and Camilla’s final joint royal engagement before their summer vacation. Camilla sported an appropriately floral dress and a silver necklace, and carried a white parasol to protect herself from the sun. Charles opted for a tan suit and sunglasses.
Charles and Camilla took time to greet the crowds, talking to vendors and visitors who brought pets with them. The event, which is the 137th Sandringham Flower Show, takes place on the Queen’s private Sandringham estate in Norfolk, ITV News reports. Aside from flowers, the show also includes carnival rides, steam engines, and produce stands from the local area.
According to a tweet from English, after today's event, Charles and Camilla are headed for vacation. Camilla will take her grandchildren for a short trip before meeting her husband at Birkhall in Scotland next week.
