Canadian Ski Resort Reporting Over "1 Metre" Of Snow In Last Week

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort got a lot of snow this week. Because it's Canada, and they use the metric system, their powder came in at a clean meter instead of 3.28084 feet.

"With today's snowfall giving us another 16cm, we have officially surpassed 100cm (39") of fresh snow over the last 7 days. It has been an all-time week for shredding POW."

Kicking Horse recently hosted the second stop of the Freeride World Tour, the Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro, where Astrid Cheylus won for women's skiing, and Max Hitzig secured his second win for the men.

Now, the resort has seen 1 fresh cm overnight, 4 cms over the past day, and 96 cms over the last week.

Kicking Horse's forecast shows light snow showers over the next 4 days, with some forecasts showing a break Friday with partly cloudy skies.

The tree well hazard is currently high, so make sure you bring a beacon, shovel, and probe, even skiing inbounds.
