Candace Cameron Bure Revealed Her Strong Feelings About The Future Of 'The View'

With both Sara Haines and Paula Faris announcing their departures from The View desk recently, fans have been left wondering who will replace them. While no official announcement has yet been made, former conservative co-host Candace Cameron Bure seems to think the shakeup is a good chance to make the playing field a bit more even.

When talking with Fox News at Hallmark's Summer TCA party, the Fuller House star expressed her support for both Sara and Paula before offering up an opinion on potential replacements.

"I am so happy for Sara [Haines] that she has her own slot with Michael [Strahan] now on GMA. That’s fantastic. And Paula [Faris] is moving on as well. So I am curious to see who fills that conservative seat," Candace announced.

She went on to assert that she believes the conservative view point deserves more representation, despite Meghan McCain's presence on the panel.

“I really hope that it is a conservative seat because I think it will balance out that table,” she said. “They need more than one conservative so I really hope it’s a conservative.”

Opinions aside, various reports seem to confirm that The View is considering picking a right-leaning voice to replace Sara. Potential candidates for the job (again, not officially confirmed) include Fox and Friends weekend co-host Abby Huntsman and CNN commentator Ana Navarro. Not much has been announced about who might fill in for Paula.

As for what's to come for the two recent departees, expect to see Sara joining Michael Strahan to host the new third hour of Good Morning America called GMA Day, which is replacing The Chew at the 1 p.m. time slot. Meanwhile, Paula is also taking a new job within the network, focusing primarily on breaking news and reporting at ABC News.
