As a lover of all things cozy, I have a soft spot in my heart for fall. Between the crisp sunny days, apple-spiced treats, and pre-holiday excitement, there are a myriad of reasons why this season is my favorite. Another one of those reasons is, of course, the slew of new fall fashion at our fingertips. After three months of sweating through our clothes, the dip in temperatures finally invites some room for style experimentation.

Editor-Loved Fall Fashion Trends

Although this autumn has hardly begun, I’ve already begun adding seasonal styles to my shopping wishlist. My fall mood boards are filled with trends I’m itching to try, but the list above represents the top 10 clothing, shoe, and accessory styles I absolutely can’t miss. And I’m not the only one eyeing these trends; expert stylists have also given several of these fall fashion categories their stamp of approval. To make it easier for all of us to try out the season’s biggest trends, I found pieces on Amazon, starting at just $10.

Ballet Flats

I have to admit, I never understood the hype of ballet flats until recently. However, I now finally have a pair of my own and can see why celebs like Katie Holmes, Jennifer Garner, and Meghan Markle all love them—they’re ridiculously easy to style. And, as professional stylist Marina Ingvarrson previously told InStyle, these shoes, a huge hit this past summer, are here to stay for fall. No matter which version of the trend you’re eyeing, Amazon has you covered; twin with Jennifer Lawrence in this funky mesh pair for just $30, or try out the metallic fad in this silver pair for only $27.

Kitten Heels

I am not, and will never be, a heels girl. However, kitten heels are a trend so practical, even I can get behind them. Worn by the likes of Zo? Kravitz and Kate Middleton, these chic shoes come with endless styling possibilities. Dress them up with a cute blouse and satin midi skirt, or keep it casual with baggy jeans and a simple tee.

Burgundy

Burgundy is a hue I spot every autumn, but this season it’s truly inescapable. Not that I’m complaining—the quintessential fall shade might even be my next nail color. From slouchy bags to strappy heels, there are countless ways to incorporate the color trend into your wardrobe. Be sure to check out this on-trend wallet for $11 and stylish crossbody for $23, too.

Textured Skirts

As stylist Selby Kosky previously told InStyle, “skirts are here to stay this fall,” and I have to say, I couldn’t agree more. In particular, Kosky is a fan of styles that “bring dimension to your looks.” I’m channeling the trend with textured skirts, like this Levi’s denim maxi and luxe-looking pleated style.

Studded Accessories

While I’m all about elevated basics, I’ve recently realized that edgy accessories are a great way to spice up an otherwise plain outfit. This season, studded shoes and accessories are another trend I’m seeing everywhere. Since I’m a gold jewelry girl through and through, I’m loving this belt from Lucky Brand, perfect for tying together my everyday looks.

Boho Blouses

I’ll watch anything set in the regency era, so it’s probably not a shocker that I’m a fan of these whimsical blouses. Perfect for transitional weather, a lightweight boho blouse is a style I’ll never grow tired of. Plus, it’s something that can be worn year-round—pair it with denim cut-offs in the summer or flowy trousers in the fall. To combine two trends into one, check out this gorgeous burgundy top, available for just $29 on Amazon.

Leopard Print

Trend cycles often repeat themselves, and that’s definitely the case with leopard print. Although the style might seem a little out there, it’s actually a timeless print that’s surprisingly easy to wear. For example, accessories like this swanky belt and fun crossbody would look great with a simple blouse and flared jeans, instantly giving your outfit a boost.

Elevated Loungewear

Gone are the days when hand-me-down sweatshirts were what I deemed acceptable loungewear. Now, matching comfy sets are all the rage, and I couldn’t be more on-board. Given that I work from home most days, an elevated loungewear set is the perfect way to make me feel put together, even while staying deceptively comfortable.

Clogs

Clogs, one of Hollywood’s favorite “It” shoes, are a divisive trend I will never give up. As it turns out, I’m not alone in my love for the shoes—Sarah Jessica Parker and Kaia Gerber are fans, too. From laid-back slip-ons to studded mules, clogs come in tons of variations, all of which I plan on sporting this fall.

Suede

I saved the best for last—suede is officially my favorite fall trend this year. There’s something about its buttery smooth texture that feels decidedly autumnal, especially since the fabric usually comes in the form of gorgeous brown and caramel-colored styles. While jackets like this now-$34 one are what my mind goes to when I think of suede, you can also dip your toes into the trend with styles like this gold-accented belt or fringe bag.
