Cardi has been incredibly generous over the past year, but some people felt the below tweet was insensitive given the fact that so many people are struggling to make ends meet amid this pandemic.

In response to backlash from her followers, Cardi made a few things clear. First of all, she highlighted the fact that she’s donated literally millions during COVID-19—including directly to her fans via CashApp.
