Cardi B and Offset Had Their Baby!!
Rapper Cardi B announced on Instagram today that she and Migos rapper Offset welcomed their first child together, a daughter. Here's the official announcement.
"Kulture Kiari Cephus 07/10/18🎀🌸 @offsetyrn" she captioned the photo, which means she's totally taking after the Kardashian tradition of "K" names, right?
When Cardi first announced she was pregnant, she took flak from fans on social media who thought it was too early in her career to take such a huge step.
"I hate the certain things people say . . . like 'I feel bad for her. Why is she doing that in the height of her career?' and it's just like why can't I have both? Why do I have to choose a baby or a career? Why do I have to be in my mid-30s to have a baby? What am I doing wrong?" she said in an interview with New York's Hot 97 radio station.
Offset and Cardi B actually got married back in September, even though they "got engaged" publicly in October.
Cardi's been joking during her pregnancy about how the baby makes it hard for her to breathe, so congrats on the new baby AND being able to properly breathe again, Cardi!
