Carey Hart baits parenting critics by letting daughter Willow pop balloons with a knife: 'Don't worry, she survived'
Few things seem to give Carey Hart more pleasure than riling up his commenters with footage of him putting his two children — 7-year-old Willow and 2-year-old Jameson — in unconventional, potentially risky situations.
He’s taken his toddler dirt biking. He’s taught Willow to shoot. And now he’s upping the ante by letting her use his pocket knife’s very sharp, very large blade to pop balloons.
Hart, who married Pink in 2006, posted video footage of his latest so-called “parent fail.” The video shows Willow destroying several balloons, though Hart at one point can be heard saying, “Be careful.”

As predicted, some commenters felt it was unsafe.
“This is a little far even for me,” wrote one fan, to which Hart responded with an “I’m so sorry” and a crying emoji.
“I woulda aimed it down though,” added a commenter., who otherwise didn’t seem to mind the knife-handling. “Not safe up!”
“There is the police,” shot back Hart. “Don’t worry, she survived.”
The majority of comments, however, celebrated Hart’s bold parenting style.
“She’s learning more than those kids in a bubble!!!” read one comment.
“Not a parent fail!!!” a fan wrote. “Just a parent who has taught their children about weapon safety letting their beautiful little girl play and be a kid. Well done, sir!!”
“I don’t get why the hell people think this is a big deal,” added a Hart supporter. “She’s just popping balloons. Her dad is there the whole time, and I don’t see blood, so lighten up, folks!”
Hopefully Willow is less accident-prone than her pop star mom, who recently admitted to needing 13 stitches after she slashed Hart’s tires last Thanksgiving in a fit of holiday rage.
“I got clean through the first one,” she told Ellen DeGeneres. “He has a raised F250 and those tires are thick, thank you very much. And the second one I lost a little steam and I hit the metal part and my hand just went straight down the knife.”
