Carl’s Jr. And Hardee’s Are Adding A Ton Of Beyond Meat Items To Their Menus
It's not even Christmas, but chances are someone has bugged you about your New Year's Resolution. Maybe you want to read more, finally donate some clothes, or commit to going plant-based. That last one can seem difficult, because, well, have you ever eaten a cheeseburger? But this announcement from Hardee's and Carl's Jr. is about to make it way easier. The chains are adding a ton of Beyond Meat products to their menus in late 2019.
These two are becoming the first national U.S. fast food restaurants to offer Beyond Meat options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yes, you can get your plant-based fix any time of day. It's a beautiful thing.
Carl's Jr. already offered Beyond Meat burgers with its Beyond Famous Star burger and Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger, but now it'll have some delicious breakfast options too. First up is the Beyond Sausage Burrito, made with a Beyond Breakfast Sausage patty, scrambled egg, shredded cheese, hashrounds, tomatoes, and salsa inside a tortilla for about $4.79.
You can also get a Beyond Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit made with a Beyond Breakfast Sausage patty topped with a slice of American cheese, and an egg, served on, you guessed it, a biscuit. It starts at $3.99.
Hardee's is also getting into the plant-based game and going pretty hard, offering up four new plant-based options like the Original Beyond Thickburger, made with a Beyond Burger patty with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, dill pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo on a toasted bun starting at $5.99.
For breakfast you can also get a Beyond Sausage Burrito, a Beyond Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit, and a Beyond Sausage Biscuit.
You can get started on your New Year's Resolutions a little bit early because these items will be available at Carl’s Jr. starting December 18, and at Hardee’s December 30. Just in time to give a beef burger one more kiss under the mistletoe.
