Carrie Underwood Is Coming Out With A Christmas TV Special And It Sounds Wonderful
Fall foods have just started hitting the shelves, but it’s already Christmas at Carrie Underwood’s house!
The country star’s first-ever Christmas album just came out on September 25, and it’s nothing short of magical. It’s called My Gift and it has all kinds of holly jolly hits on it, like “Silent Night,” “Mary, Did You Know,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and more. Carrie recorded some brand-new tracks, as well, including one titled “Let There Be Peace,” which is very, very catchy.
One of the best parts about the album, is that she actually featured her 5-year-old son Isaiah on one of the songs. He lent his vocals to “Little Drummer Boy,” so you’ll want to take a listen to that one soon.
"He was just so expressive. When I heard the song back with his sweet little voice on it, I was laughing and crying and just [had] so many emotions," she told Today of her son's contribution. "I’m so proud of him."
But it gets even better. Carrie has teamed up with HBO Max on a Christmas special that’s set to start filming this fall. She’s going to appear with a live orchestra and choir, and perform both classic jingles and some of her new songs. Imagine all the dreamy outfits she’ll be wearing!
Even though we still have to get through Halloween and Thanksgiving before it’s “officially” Christmastime, there’s no reason you can’t start channeling the spirit of the season right now. And if you love Carrie’s latest album, then you’ll want to pick up Dolly Parton’s Christmas CD when it comes out, too. You won’t be disappointed!
