Carrie Underwood Details Her Daily Routine as a Mom
To the world, Carrie Underwood is a country superstar and American Idol legend. But at home, she's just mom–and now she's giving fans a glimpse at what her everyday life entails.
The 40-year-old "Cry Pretty" songstress opened up about her day-to-day routine while appearing on Today With Hoda & Jenna, and given her statements, she lives a pretty extravagant-free life for someone worth nearly $140 million.
Setting the scene, Underwood explained her day doesn't really get the chance to begin until after "The kids go to school."
Underwood shares two children–Isaiah Michael, 8, and Jacob Bryan, 4–with her husband of 13 years, Mike Fisher.
"My husband usually takes them, but the second they leave it's like, gotta vacuum, make their beds and check their rooms to make sure there are no wet towels on the floor, stuff like that," she said.
After the kids' rooms are tidied up, she checks off a few other household chores from her to-do list, suggesting she and Shark Tank's Mark Cuban have at least one thing in common: they both forgo professional cleaning services.
"Clean our room, go workout, garden," she lists off. "I'm always cooking something or canning something. I kind of live in the kitchen, making bread or something."
"And then, before you know it, they come home, and we make dinner," Underwood continued, "We have so many meals together as a family."
The importance of family bonding is something Underwood has always preached–even going as far as getting matching tattoos with her mom and sisters–but when she's not at home with her family, she's entertaining her double life as an all-star performer, only recently announcing that she would be extending her Las Vegas residency through 2024.
