Carrie Underwood is celebrating a milestone memory that's aging all of us.
The 41-year-old Oklahoma-born singer took to her Instagram page on Monday, May 20, with a throwback photo from the day she successfully auditioned for the fourth season of American Idol.
The image, which isn't dated but was likely snapped sometime between Aug. 8, 2004 and Oct. 5, 2004 when the series first began filming for Season 4, showed the "Two Black Cadillacs" songstress in casual attire as she smiled big for the camera and proudly displayed her audition number while seated, talking on her cellphone.
"??REFLECTION of the week," she began in the accompanying caption. "Contestant number #14887 received her golden ticket to Hollywood!"
"I can’t believe it has been almost 20 years since auditioning for @AmericanIdol!" she exclaimed before concluding with the hashtag, "#ReflectionOfTheWeek."
The photo had everyone in their feels as Underwood's followers celebrated the achievement and reminisced alongside her.
"That small town farm girl from Oklahoma had no idea what was about to happen ??," one top-liked comment read. "So incredibly grateful to have been on this ride with you since day one ??."
"Well deserved. You’ve handled your fame beautifully!!" a second declared.
"I rooted for you from that first audition all the way!" someone else shared.
"NEW JUDGE?!" a fourth suggested.
"We ?? you so much! ??," the official Instagram account for the singing competition series exclaimed.
Even the iHeartRadio social team got involved, calling Underwood "a star since day 1 ????."
After the picture was snapped, Underwood gave the competition her all and was eventually crowned the winner that season, which originally aired in 2005. Now, fans are calling for her to be named the next judge of the fan-favorite reality talent competition, as Katy Perry just exited from her seat at the table. Perry's replacement has not yet been announced, but there are some theories.
