Catherine Zeta-Jones Glitters in Purple Dress on Romantic Stroll With Husband Michael Douglas
Catherine Zeta-Jones looks to have packed only her best pieces ahead of her romantic vacation with her husband, Michael Douglas.
On Monday, paparazzi caught the 53-year-old Wednesday actress strolling through Portofino, a charming fishing village on the Italian Riviera coastline, alongside Douglas, 78, and the couple couldn't have been better dressed.
New photos show the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor pairing a dark blue button-down with white trousers and loafers–definitive of a classic, coastal summer style–while his wife stunned wearing a colorful, bright purple paisley dress that featured a deep V-neck with a leopard waist detail. She finished the look with a pair of platform sandals, oversized sunglasses and a simple black clutch.
Think The Mask of Zorro star's dress looks familiar? Well, as other outlets have already pointed out, it's because it's the same gown Jessica Simpson wore to the 2005 VH1 Awards ceremony (where the pop star and fashion designer accepted the "Big Stylin" award).
The famous maxi dress designed by Emanuel Ungaro has since become better known as Simpson's "revenge dress" after she wore it during one of her first public outings since the "When You Told Me You Loved Me" singer and her then-husband Nick Lachey announced their split.
While Simpson styled the dress a little more upscale for a big Hollywood event, adding large silver hoops and black peep-toe heels, the Welsh actress is only on vacation, and our editors think her more laid-back take is just as stylish.
