Celebrate Hispanic heritage in Silvis

The Silvis Hispanic Heritage Festival  will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Hero Street in downtown Silvis.

The festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of Hispanic culture, featuring live music, delicious food, family-friendly activities and a car show.

Food and craft vendors including Restaurante el Mariache, Coquina Verde, Aguas Frescas Camila, Michelada Mix Mi Chelita, Tony’s Tortillas, Mundo de Belleza, Yaya’s Boutique and more will be present throughout the entirety of the event.

A kids’ zone featuring giant yard games, a toddler zone, magic, face painting and balloon animals will be open until 7 p.m.

A car show will take place at Weber Auto Group from 1 to 4 p.m., local speakers will present from 2 to 3 p.m., the Quad Cities Ballet Folklorico will perform from 3 until 3:45 p.m. and Dietz Soliz Band will perform from 4 until 8 p.m.
