Celebrate pride with Fresno EOC in Downtown this year
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – LGBTQ+ Community members, along with allies, are invited to celebrate pride in the Fresno Economics Opportunities Commission annual Illuminate Our Pride event in Downtown Fresno.
Organizers say this is the commission’s fifth annual Illuminate Our Pride event. It will feature community organizations and resource booths, artisan and food vendors, speakers that reflect the city’s diversity and performances, and a drag show.
The event’s goal is to unite the LGBTQ+ community and allies in Fresno, according to organizers.
“The Fresno EOC LGBTQ+ Resource Center serves not just the Fresno community, but really
the entire Central Valley. We open our doors to individuals, families, and anyone who needs
services and support. We want them to know, they are not alone,” said Misty Gattie Blanco,
Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Support Services Director.
The event will be held on Saturday, Jun 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Downtown Fresno at 1252 Fulton Street in Fresno. The street will be blocked on Fulton between Fresno and Merced Streets.
