Celebrities react to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement
The world is getting another princess (basically)! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s engagement has seemed imminent for a while now, but now it’s officially official. Prince Harry, 33, proposed to the Suits star, 36, this month after a little more than a year of dating. The couple is set to wed next spring. They put their love — and her new engagement ring — on display at Kensington Palace on Monday just hours after their engagement was announced.
The royal family — including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, and Prince William and Kate Middleton — issued statements expressing their delight. Markle’s parents — Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, who split when she was a child — also said they were “incredibly happy” about the engagement. And royal mania certainly extends across the pond; many celebrities, including Markle’s Suits co-stars, are offering the happy couple their congratulations as well.
Markle’s TV family weighed in on the news this morning:

Playing Meghan’s television partner for the better part of a decade uniquely qualifies me to say this: Your Royal Highness, you are a lucky man and I know your long life together will be joyful, productive and hilarious. Meghan, so happy for you, friend. Much love.
