Celebrities who visited White Sands over the years include Ozzy Osbourne, Brad Pitt
Famous rocker Ozzy Osbourne recently shared photos on social media to reminisce about his time in the Borderland.
The music artist can be seen in his distinctive round, vintage glasses and typical black attire against the bright backdrop of white dunes in a photo at White Sands National Park in 2018.
He credits music photographer Ross Halfin for taking the picture and shared it on Feb. 28, exactly six years after the photograph was taken.
The "Prince of Darkness" isn’t the only celebrity sighted along the white landscape, which takes up 275 miles of desert in Southern New Mexico.
Brad Pitt
In 2017, GQ Magazine featured movie star Brad Pitt tumbling down a "60-foot" dune, according to an article. Candid photographs show Pitt lying on the glistening sand while a photographer hovers overhead with a camera, snapping photos of Pitt with his arms behind his head.
Pitt was also photographed at Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.
Kendall Jenner
In January 2018, reality star Kendall Jenner posed at White Sands in an oversized hat and colorful get-up for Italian luxury fashion brand Missoni, who posted on social media that White Sands was chosen for its “unique scenery.”

Solange Knowles
In 2016, singer Solange Knowles was pictured barefoot at the national monument for her birthday, according to an article by Elle Magazine. Knowles wore a flowing red dress amid the crystal blue sky and white sand. The photographs were posted to her now-deleted Instagram page.
'Transformers' one of many movies filmed at White Sands
Several movies and music videos have also been shot along park grounds, including films for the franchise “Transformers” and “Book of Eli,” starring Denzel Washington, according to the National Park Service. Music videos of diverse genres were also filmed at White Sands, including Pink Floyd’s “The End” and Boys II Men’s “Water Runs Dry.”
Celebs aside, White Sands National Park has also showcased some Borderland talent – you may remember both NMSU and UTEP football players were photographed in full uniform at the national park.
