Celebs on the NHS Frontline fans praise Stacey Dooley
BBC One's 'fascinating' docu-series Celebrities on the NHS Frontline aired its second and final episode on Thursday (July 5), following last week's eye-opening premiere.
The series follows four celebrities – Stacey Dooley, Michael Mosley, Ann Widdecombe and Jonnie Peacock – as they join NHS staff to shadow them and see what goes on in our hospitals.
While the final episode continued to raised thoughtful questions among viewers, the main takeaway from the episode was that TV presenter Stacey Dooley has missed her calling as a healthcare provider after proving she has the best bedside manner.
Tonight's episode followed Stacey as she spent time in the cardiac department, and the rapid recovery turnaround proved to be a rather surprising insight for her after she witnessed a full-time smoker enter surgery after suffering a suspected heart attack – only to be back to reasonable health within 40 minutes.
But mostly it was her warm approach to shadowing the medics that was met with a great deal of admiration from viewers, with some even saying that she'd missed her natural vocation:

Really love @StaceyDooley documentaries. She’s so warm and compassionate. Even when dealing with difficult topics she’s non-judgemental but isn’t scared to get stuck in to tackle gritty subjects. #CelebritiesOnTheNHSFrontline

The series also gave journalist Michael Mosley a new insight into the profession, too, as he admitted that he finally understood why people dedicate their lives the being healthcare professionals.
After witnessing a young boy's facial reconstruction, Mosley had enough evidence to see why some professionals don't quit the field, getting somewhat emotional in the process.
The BBC One programme was commissioned to mark the NHS's 70th anniversary, and the insight into the day-to-day goings on in our hospitals left viewers feeling rather reflective following tonight's episode:
#CelebritiesOnTheNHSFrontline was a very interesting and insightful programme about incredible work done under a system being pushed to breaking point. Some confused commenters on here seemed to think it was largely about an ex-Tory MP. #NHS70

Just watched second episode of #CelebritiesOnTheNHSFrontline and yet again so amazed at what our wonderful doctors and nurses (and all NHS staff!) do for all of us. I'd fully support paying an extra bit of tax each month to keep the NHS going strong into the future. #NHS70
