Chamber announces Taste of Terre Haute July 15-28

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has announced the ninth annual Taste Terre Haute event.

This year’s promotion will run July 15 through July 28, allowing two weeks of indulging in local cuisine. Participating businesses will showcase signature items or experiment with something new with a featured “Taste Terre Haute exclusive” menu item.

Since 2016, Taste Terre Haute has been a summer promotion created by a small group of restaurant owners and managers. This year’s promotion was co-chaired by Saratoga Restaurant’s Alexis Green and Rick’s Smokehouse BBQ & Grill’s Maddie Burchell.

“We love being a part of Taste Terre Haute, as there are so many benefits. This allows our community to get involved in eating local, and attracts both new and repeat customers,” said Burchell. “We are excited to get to be apart again this year, as we continue to celebrate eating local, as well as Terre Haute history.”

Celebrating local restaurants is important and would not be possible without support from community partners, the chamber said in a news release.

Terre Haute Casino Resort, which is promoting two signature Taste Terre Haute cocktails at the Altitude Bar and Lounge, is sponsoring this year’s event and that investment in championing local business owners is a vital component of the promotion.

“The support of the community is what keeps local Terre Haute restaurants going, and this is a fun week to showcase the best of the best,” said Green.
