Chance the Rapper Adorably Proposes at Independence Day Backyard Gathering
Very soon, he’ll be Chance the Husband. Chance the Rapper is engaged to his longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley. The artist popped the question during a backyard gathering in Chicago, on Independence Day 2018.
A video posted to The Shade Room’s Instagram account shows the rapper, nee Chancellor Jonathan Bennett, getting down on one knee while his shocked girlfriend and their friends and family members react to the gesture. He extends his hand and asks, “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?”
The two are parents to a toddler named Kensli, who is seen curiously watching her parents from a little distance.
After the moment took place, Chance’s brother took to Instagram to celebrate the newly engaged couple. “Proposed In The Hunninds!” he wrote. “@chancetherapper You A Real One! 7-4-18 #BlockBoys.”
Just this past May, the future groom shared a sweet message on social media celebrating Corley. “From the beginning beginning to the end end. You are my oldest and best friend,” he expressed. “You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe. Happy Birthday.”
