Charlotte Tilbury makes makeup that simply makes everybody look effortlessly beautiful. Her best-selling Pillow Talk lipstick in a universal pinky-nude shade has gained a cult following since she first introduced it in 2017. She’s since expanded on the one-size-fits-all philosophy that we love from the flagship Pillow Talk product to include two other shades of lipstick and corresponding lip liners, an eyeshadow palette, lip glosses, blush, eyeliner, and now two universal highlighter wands.
The world is obsessed with the Pillow Talk collection, with one of these products selling every 24 seconds.
After all, the British makeup artist knows her way around a face — regardless of skin tone, texture, and facial structure. Her expertise has led some of the world’s most famous faces like Amal Clooney, Kate Moss, Poppy Delevingne, and Sabrina Elba to depend on Charlotte Tilbury’s magic touch for their wedding days, so we’ll rip a page out of her book on natural beauty any day.
The latest iteration of the Pillow Talk collection is all about creating a lit-from-within glow that flatters everybody. Expanding on her original Hollywood Beauty Light Wand formula, Charlotte is combining her award-winning liquid highlighter with everybody’s favorite pinky-nude shades from the Pillow Talk line, so we are predicting another best-seller.
“The world has become obsessed with this glossy, superstar, satin-light, mega-watt highlight,” Charlotte tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “I’ve used it on countless celebrity friends for red carpets all over the world — it’s like a Diva Light for the face that makes your cheekbones look lifted, your complexion appear brighter and makes you glow instantly!!” Bright skin and studio lighting wherever you go? “Pillow Talk is on everyone’s lips, so with my new Pillow Talk collection, I wanted it to be on everyone’s eyes and cheeks too! I decided to combine the magic of my best-selling, iconic nude-pink shade and my award-winning Beauty Light Wand formula to enhance the look of the complexion with a silky-smooth highlight and a sumptuous, dreamy blush of pink color!”
Now available in a nude-pink, Pillow Talk Original, and peachy-pink, Pillow Talk Medium, the Beauty Light Wands are designed to melt into the skin and flatter every skin tone.
Luckily for those of us that aren’t very adept with makeup, the new Beauty Light Wands include a cushiony applicator that makes them super easy to use on your cheekbones and all over your face to add structure.
“Highlighting gives you this amazing spotlight sheen to your cheekbones. When you move in the light, your cheeks look lifted and your skin looks more glowing. My Beauty Light Wands are so versatile and there’s so many ways to use them!” Charlotte says.
Formulated with skin-loving ingredients that will nourish and brighten from the inside out, the Beauty Light Wands are hydrating without leaving a tacky texture on your skin. “The magic formula includes Lustrous Polymer which enhances the creaminess and luminosity to give a high gloss, highlighting effect with a silky smooth, non-greasy texture,” says Charlotte. “They give you a gorgeous soft-focused Instagram filter look on the skin that is super flattering and super wearable!”
Charlotte recommends using the wands in three areas of the face. First at the tops of the cheekbones and blending with your fingertips “for a seamlessly glossy highlight.” Or, use them on the apples of the cheeks “to give a youthful looking pop of color, using my Magic Complexion Brush and gently buff into the skin in circular motions!” Finally, “to open up the eyes and make them look bigger and brighter, I apply a little to the inner corners of the eyes using my Eye Smudger Brush.”
