If you've never planned a cross-country road trip to a grocery store, you're about to start seriously considering it. Whole Foods recently launched a shop-within-a-shop at its Bridgewater, NJ, store, and it's a mecca for design obsessives (and people who just really, really love pretty sh*t) everywhere.

The boutique is called Plant & Plate, and it hits in that Goop-y realm of "lifestyle shops," meaning it sells a ton of home accessories, jewelry, plants, and other tchotchkes designed to help you live your best life. And, potentially, drain your wallet.

Plant & Plate's designed to feel cozy. With its exposed brick wall and rustic, farmhouse-style tables and bookshelves laden with carefully curated - dare I say it? - artisanal goods, it's like the chain's take on Anthropologie.

"It almost feels like you're in someone's home when you walk in," Whole Foods' northeast region whole body coordinator, Genevieve Monette, told Homeworld Business. "It's easy to stop into the shop and pick up a little gift for someone, or for yourself, while on a regular trip to the grocery store."

The chain's focusing on featuring items its buyers see trending, like handmade pottery and copper accessories. Right now, it's selling things like Hedley & Bennett aprons, Apotheke candles, and Beaucycled crystal jewelry. Oh, and plenty, plenty of plants.

Right now, there's only one Plant & Plate in existence - hence said road trip - but given how popular the shop's been since its March opening, Monette said she could see it expanding to other stores in the future.
