The news around the COVID-19 outbreak is constantly changing, but information about food safety and how to keep yourself healthy is crucial right now. Checkers & Rally’s just launched a free meal program to support health care workers and first responders who have found themselves on the front line in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
Beginning Saturday, April 18, members of the community can walk away with a free small combo meal at more than 250-company owned restaurants nationwide. All you have to do is be dressed in your uniform, and you'll get the combo, which includes a small Famous Seasoned Fries and a small drink, free of charge.
Workers will be able to choose from the following entrees: Baconzilla, BBQ Bacon Roadhouse, Big Buford, Cheese Champ, Chili Dog, Classic Wings Combo (5 pieces), Half-Pound Chicken Bites, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, or a Deep Sea Double.
“It has been heartwarming to see amazing acts of kindness throughout our system by our franchise owners, team members, and customers over the last few weeks,” CEO Frances Allen told QSR magazine. “It is more important now than ever before to focus on giving back and supporting the communities that have supported us for more than 30 years.”
The company is paying it forward to its employees at the same 250 company-owned restaurants, too. They will also be able to redeem a free small combo during their shifts.
ICYMI: Krispy Kreme is also thanking healthcare workers for their heroic work amid the COVID-19 outbreak by providing members of the community with free dozens of donuts over the next two months. To redeem delicious donuts for your team, all you have to do is show your badge when you enter the drive-thru.
