Cher Gives Fans Mouthwatering First Look at 'Cherlato'
Cher's gelato is as fabulous and whimsical as she is.
After announcing the launch of her own gelato brand, the "If I Could Turn Back Time" singer gave the first look at some of the mouthwatering frozen treats.
While she didn't share details about flavors, Cher shared photos that will have fans saying they "Believe" they need to try these ASAP.
One photo shows a cone with a scoop of what could be coffee, cinnamon, or even caramel, topped with a glazed donut, while another features a cone with a scoop of pistachio. The presentation gets extra dreamy with a cloud-like treat that is topped with edible flowers. Then there's a decadent gold cone holding chocolate gelato covered in chocolate chips, topped with pomegranate.
Cher also launched social media pages for Cherlato, which preview what fans can expect.
"From picturesque vineyards to bustling farmers' markets, we explored California at length, experimenting and settling on flavors that LA and the world NEEDS to try. Sourcing locally was paramount, as we sought to showcase California's bounty. We met with farmers, tasted exquisite fruits and chose the best ingredients to create the freshest gelato imaginable," reads the caption of a photo shared on Instagram, showing the pistachio flavor in a cup.
The caption continues, "Countless hours in the kitchen, refining flavor combinations, pushing boundaries, Cher's global perspective and Giapo's artisanal techniques fused to create a menu that marries international inspiration with local charm."
In a different post showing the cloud gelato, it's stated that Cherlato is " committed to bringing you the best that California has to offer. From the bountiful farms to the sun-kissed orchards, we source our ingredients locally to ensure the freshest, most flavorful gelato experience you've ever had ??." The brand partnered with local farmers and artisans, celebrating "the essence of California's vibrant flavors and supporting our local communities."
Cher's gelato brand is made in collaboration with New Zealand-based gluten-free ice cream brand Giapo. In the 77-year-old's initial announcement of the news, she noted that it had been five years in the making.
Cher's representative confirmed to Parade that additional information about Cherlato's flavor offerings will be coming soon.
