'Chicago PD's Marina Squerciati Goes Skiing for a Good Cause With Former Costar
Marina Squerciati
Marina Squerciati is hitting the slopes, and not just for fun—though it's likely she had plenty of it—as a charitable cause will be impacted, too.
The Chicago P.D. star linked up with her former costar and Chicago Med alum, Colin Donnell, in support of finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
In a new photo shared via Instagram on Monday, March 11, the actress posed alongside Donnell, as they appeared in full skiing gear with snow-capped mountaintops making for a picturesque backdrop. The mom of one donned a black, white and tan belted ski suit with a helmet and goggles, while her pal rocked a blue top and pants with an olive green jacket and sunglasses.
"Proud to stand with Colin Donnell to support finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis with @cf_foundation & @americanair," Squerciati opened the caption of the upload. "Here's something AMAZING: since #celebrityski began 39 years ago, the millions of dollars raised has helped raise the life-expectancy for someone living with CF from 18 to well into the 50's."
According to Mayo Clinic, Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs, digestive system, and other organs in the body.
The actress wrapped up her caption by adding, "BUT we still have work to do, "It will not be over until CF stands for Cure Found."
In the comment section, fans chimed in gushing over the pair's picture together.
"YESSS CONNOR AND KIM!! A DUO I WISH WE COULD’VE SEEN!!" one wrote, referencing Squerciati's on-screen character, Kim Burgess, and Donnell's former character, Dr. Connor Rhodes, which he portrayed on the medical drama from 2015-2019, with appearances on four episodes of the sister police procedural.
"OH MY GOSH??!? COLIN AND MAR?!?? i might spontaneously combust ????," another agreed.
Meanwhile, others applauded her support of the charitable foundation, writing things like, "You are an inspirational woman. Thank you for your support.?" and "My 12 year old daughter has CF. Thank you for raising awareness for this terrible disease."
