Chick-Fil-a's Banana Pudding Milkshake Is Back: Its Release
Chick-fil-A knows what their customers want, and they are ready to oblige. The popular restaurant chain just announced they will be bringing back the massively popular banana pudding milkshake, a menu item that hasn’t been available for more than two decades. Chick-fil-A said in a press release, “After a 13-year hiatus – and countless calls for its return – the Banana Pudding Milkshake is making its way to menus nationwide, bringing back a cool twist on the classic dessert.”
The return of the delicious Chick-fil-A dessert milkshake has been a long time coming, with customers begging for the chain to bring it back for years. Beginning on Monday, August 26, customers will be able to get the tasty treat yet again.
What is the Chick-fil-A banana pudding milkshake?
The shake was first introduced in 2011 and instantly became a fan favorite. But when it disappeared from menus, customers couldn’t help but beg for its return. It’s taken 13 years, but the restaurant chain has finally listened.
Chick-fil-A describes the milkshake as a seasonal treat, “with cooling, comforting flavors, the sweet and creamy milkshake is made with Chick-fil-A? Icedream? dessert mixed with real bananas and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles, topped with whipped cream and a cherry.”
It is worth noting that the restaurant's Icedream? is the same as regular ice cream. However, it has a different name due to its ingredients. The dessert has such little fat content that it cannot technically be called ice cream.
What else is on Chick-fil-A’s new seasonal menu?
If you want to try the banana pudding treat but prefer coffee over sweets, try the banana frosted coffee, which is “a blend of cold-brewed coffee, the brand’s signature Icedream? dessert, banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles.”
Along with the release of the fan-favorite shake is another seasonal favorite. The honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich is returning this fall with “a spicy sidekick. Chick-fil-A is also releasing a spicy version of the sandwich, something customers enjoyed last year.
“When we released the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich last fall, not only did we receive overwhelmingly positive feedback, but we also saw our guests making their own unique twists by swapping the Original filet for the Spicy filet.”
Chick-fil-A said in a press release. “They inspired us to officially offer a Spicy version as its own menu item, and we are thrilled to deliver what we know our Guests want more of!”
Why is Chick-fil-A bringing the treat back after 13 years?
While the menu items are carefully chosen and intentional, Chick-fil-A knows that their customers know best. The return of each item this season is thanks to devoted customers. Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, Allison Duncan, explained, “While our core products are what our Guests know and love us for, we also like to keep variety and innovation top of mind.”
But Chick-fil-A guests are the No. 1 priority, thus the restaurant considers what they want to see on the menus. “Whether we are surprising our Guests with new flavors and offerings or taking classic items and bringing them back with a twist, each menu introduction is made after listening to their needs. We’re thrilled to be able to bring back two of our most popular picks this season!”
