This Chick-fil-A customer is getting free food for the rest of his life — but there's a catch

Want to get your hands on some free Chick-fil-A without having to wear a cow costume? Try showing up for a weekly poultry fix for 20 years — and then turn 100 years old.

As local affiliate Fox 13 reports, the fast food chain’s Oldsmar, Fla., branch paid tribute to one of its most loyal customers on Sept. 21, throwing diner Stephen Bellissimo a surprise birthday party to mark a century on the planet.

Bellissimo has certainly earned the celebration. Known as “Mr. Steve,” he’s reportedly racked up about 20 years’ worth of daily visits — not counting Sundays, of course — though a fall last year limited his chicken pilgrimages to about once a week.

He’s bound to pick up the pace now, however, as Chick-fil-A is treating him to free meals for the rest of his life. Bring. On. The. Waffle. Fries.

It’s a heartwarming gesture — but some cynical Twitter users are expressing doubt about the deal.

But hey — free food is free food, and Mr. Steve may just prove the naysayers wrong.

As it happens, he’s not the only one who’s scored free chicken nuggets for life. A baby girl who was suddenly delivered in a Chick-fil-A bathroom in Texas this summer has also been promised a lifetime supply of food and a job when she’s older.
