Chicken Strips Might Be Coming to a Taco Bell Near You Soon
Taco Bell is bringing chicken strips to select menus for a very limited time.
In a statement, the company said it's testing the potential new item–Chile Crisp Chicken Chile–in select markets by adding two chicken options to the menu of one of its restaurants in Newport Beach, California.
The new chicken strips are found in Taco Bell's Crisp Chicken Tacos and the Chile Crisp Chicken Strips, both of which are dressed up in the brand's Chile Crips Sauce, which a rep described as "a sweet, spicy, and citrusy sauce packed with flavorful bits of guajillo, ancho and anaheim peppers, garlic, lime and other hints of aromatics."

Each of the Crisp Chicken Tacos features a crispy chicken strip smothered in the all-new Chile Crisp Sauce, topped with spicy ranch, fresh lettuce and real shredded cheddar cheese layered on top of a warm flour tortilla. There are two tacos per order, and you can enjoy them both for just $4.99.
The Chile Crisp Chicken Strips seem more like the beloved chain's version of a chicken tender entree. It includes three pieces of chicken layered with the signature Chile Crisp Sauce plus a side of spicy ranch for dipping for $4.99.
According to the release, the chicken strip meals will only be available at the Taco Bell located at 4101 Jamboree Rd, Newport Beach, CA 92660, while supplies last.
Don't live in the area? Don't let it ruffle your feathers. Should the test be a success, it's likely the company will bring chicken strips to restaurants all over the country.
In the meantime, Taco Bell is rolling out plenty of positive menu changes at all its locations within the next few weeks–like bringing back fan-favorite Rolled Chicken Tacos and offering free tacos on Tuesdays.
