New chicken vendor opening Nov. 11 in Wilmington's Chancery Market food hall
Chick-N-Salad is a new food vendor that is opening Saturday, Nov. 11, in downtown Wilmington's Chancery Market Food Hall & Bar.
The stall, which will offer chicken wings and tenders, salads, and rice bowls, takes over the spot formerly occupied by The Juice Joint 2.0.
Juice Joint's owner Lanice Wilson "was offered an incredible opportunity in another location and we're excited for her," said Gaby Indellini, director of marketing and communications, at TSG Hospitality, which owns the 1313 N. Market St. building that houses Chancery Market.
Wilson founded the flagship The Juice Joint at the Wilmington Riverfront in 2020 and then relocated to Chancery Market. According to its Instagram, The Juice Joint closed its Chancery Market site a week ago and is moving to a new location at 102 S. Union St. in Wilmington.
Chick-N-Salad Owner Chirag Moghal said the menu includes chicken wings or tenders that come with a choice of sauces such as barbecue, honey, Sriracha, Buffalo, "Boom Boom," Peri-Peri and garlic Parmesan.
There also are kale Caesar and crispy tofu salads, Greek chicken and lamb gyro rice bowls, and baklava.
“We are confident Chick-N-Salad will become a popular spot for both residents and visitors to Wilmington,” The Chancery’s General Manager Ryan Koch said in a prepared statement. “Their menu is exactly what we needed to round out our offerings and we’re looking forward to seeing them grow!”
In addition to the new stall, current vendors Market Street Burger and Dog and Espresso have updated their menus. Espresso has enhanced its breakfast and lunch offerings and Market Street Burger and Dog has simplified the menu and ordering process with new customization options.
The Chancery Market Food Hall, located on the bottom floor of the former Hercules Building, has a dining space, an indoor/outdoor bar, a patio and gardens, and nightly entertainment.
The market has had other changes since its opening in December 2022. Gone are opening food vendors Fuku, a chicken stall licensed and managed by HospitalityHQ, a Brooklyn-based culinary consulting and food hall management firm led by Akhtar Nawab, who is overseeing the management of the Wilmington food hall, and a kiosk that was run by Oath '84 restaurateur Justin Womack.
