Chili Cook-Off this weekend in Andover

ANDOVER — Some like it hot, some like it chili.

A Chili Cook-Off will be held September 15 in the Town of Andover.

The event is a fundraiser that will benefit both the Andover Food Pantry and the Andover Democratic Town Committee.

Members of the community are invited to either bring their best chili recipe to be judged, or to come to the event to taste and declare their favorites out of all the entries.

Those submitting their chili for judging must register in advance. The entry fee is $15 per cook.

Those coming to taste can enter the event at $10 per person at the door.

Chips and water will also be provided as refreshments, and, for sweets after the heat, a fundraising bake sale will be held as well.

The event will take place from 12 to 3 p.m. in the community room of the Andover Town Hall, located at 17 School Road.
