Chip Gaines Is Totally Renovating One of the Grain Silos at Magnolia Market
In a recent interview with the Waco Tribune-Herald, Chip Gaines chatted all things Magnolia Market with writer Mike Copeland. One standout comment? Within a year or less, Gaines is looking to “put a finger on an idea” for utilizing the grain silos situated on the property that houses Magnolia Market. In one of the silos, Chip will open a store comprised of "guy-dominated stuff" that currently lives in "Chip's Corner" in the market.
According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, the space will vend items like t-shirts, hammers, leather gloves, and more. "But a use for the second silo remains elusive, and Chip said he would prefer to renovate both in one fell swoop. He’s still making up his mind," reports Copeland.
In the same interview, Chip also shared that he and Joanna stop by Magnolia Market a couple of times a week. He told Copeland that meeting shoppers “is a pretty amazing experience. We feel kind of like rock stars, and they kind of freak out.”

Sometimes, when people-watching from his office at the Silos, he'll even have people — typically kids or older folks — ask to come up and meet him in his work space. "We’ll shoot the bull. I’ll ask about the circumstances that brought them to Waco. I enjoy hearing the stories. I usually give them a gift certificate."
Note to self: Pace and pray we're in Chip's line of vision.
