Chris Evans Marries Girlfriend Alba Baptista in Massachusetts Wedding
We have super news for fans of Chris Evans: The Marvel star is reportedly a married man now.
According to multiple outlets, on Saturday, Sept. 9, the Captain America actor wed actress girlfriend Alba Baptista in an intimate ceremony in Massachusetts, his home state. Page Six reported that the Knives Out star, 42, and the Portuguese actress, 26, said "I do" in front of several of Evans' Marvel peers, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner. It's believed that Downey and Hemsworth both brought their respective wives, Susan Downey and Elsa Pataky, to the New England nuptials.
Fellow Massachusetts-born actor John Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt were also reportedly in attendance.
This update may come as a surprise for fans of Evans and Baptista, who is known for her work in Warrior Nun, as the pair never formally announced their engagement to the public.
For those who need a refresher, Evans and Baptista were first romantically linked in fall 2022, after they were spotted out in New York City together in November. However, it's been reported that the duo has been together longer than that.
Evans confirmed his relationship with Baptista in January of 2023, after including her in a prank video where the two referred to each other as "babe" and "baby." Baptista was featured on Evans' Instagram page—which has since been deleted—again in February.
Per E! News, Evans shared a series of videos and photos of himself and Baptista on Valentine's Day. Baptista later joined Evans for the April premiere of his movie, Ghosted, but they did not pose for pictures on the red carpet together.
As the duo is immensely private, it's uncertain if images from their reported wedding will hit social media.
