Chris Evans and Wife Alba Baptista Make Rare Appearance Ahead of the Oscars

After getting married late last year, Chris Evans and Alba Baptista continue to keep their relationship mostly private—but recently, they stepped out to enjoy a pre-Oscars event together for a date night.
The celebrity couple seemed like glowing newlyweds at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood, Calif. They held hands as they walked out of the star-studded bash. Baptista looked radiant in a form-fitting off-the-shoulder white dress and neutral heels. Meanwhile, her husband wore a sleek white button-up shirt, no tie, with slacks and dark brown shoes.
Baptista and Evans have remained private since the start of their whirlwind romance, with the two rumored to have first met sometime in 2021. While fans started piecing things together early the following year, the couple was only spotted in public in late 2022 before confirming their romance on social media in January 2023.
In September 2023, Evans and Baptista married in two ceremonies—one in Cape Cod, Mass., and one in Portugal, where the bride is from. The first ceremony included celebrity guests like Marvel stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and their partners, and more familiar faces.
Not long after the wedding, in October, Evans confirmed the big news at New York Comic Con, wearing his ring and telling the crowd, "I got married. It was really, really great." While the two have never shared much about their relationship, Evans talked a lot about wanting to get married and start a family in the years before tying the knot.
After Evans was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2022, he told the publication, "That's absolutely something I want. Wife, kids, building a family... Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can't think of anything better."
Along with Evans and Baptista's appearance at the pre-Oscars party, the two were last spotted in January attending a dinner with Robert Pattinson, Suki Waterhouse, Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman.
