  • Chris Harrison called former Bachelor contestant Kelley Flanagan after she revealed that producers locked her in a closet for three hours.

  • He said, “She’s a smart girl who I think is used to getting what she wants, and she didn’t get that time with Peter.”

Even though most of us have lost any/all sense of time (what *are* days of the week anyway?), you may recall that a few days ago Bachelor alum Kelley Flanagan dropped quite the bombshell by sharing that producers “locked me up in a closet for three hours” to prevent her from seeing Peter Weber while filming.

Obviously, people were pretty shook by this comment, so Chris Harrison is out here doing damage control for the show. He called Kelley after hearing what she said and talked about their conversation with ET, saying, “I said, ‘What was that? We don’t lock people in closets, so clearly you weren't locked in a closet for three hours. What did you mean?’”

Chris shared that Kelley’s comment was “taken a little bit out of context” and added, “What she meant by that was she was frustrated. She’s a smart girl who I think is used to getting what she wants, and she didn’t get that time with Peter.” But, um, if Kelley really wanted to clarify her words, wouldn’t she have done that on her own? Just saying!

And sorry, I’m not done yet, ’cause Chris also mentioned that he thinks Kelley was referencing a confessional interview she did when they were filming in Cleveland, saying:

You’re not in a closet. It’s in a room, and sometimes it takes hours. It depends on what’s going on at the time....I think Kelley was frustrated at the time, and that’s how she articulated that. She said, “That was not what I meant to say.” She’s like, “I’m so sorry that it came out that I was locked in a closet.” So everybody, it’s okay. Kelly was not locked in a closet, she’s safe and she’s good, and she apologized and I laughed it off. I was like, “I get it, I knew what you were trying to say.”

I feel like Chris 100% didn’t laugh this off, but sure, whatever you say!
