For a while, no one was quite sure how actor Chris Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger actually met. One rumor even gave Rob Lowe all the cred for introducing them, but Chris recently cleared it all up: He and Katherine first linked up at church in spring 2018.
Chris said fate and their many connections (you know, since Katherine’s parents, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, are überfamous) helped, too, but it was really the Sunday service that did it.
Since their meeting, Katherine and Chris’s relationship quickly racked up milestone after milestone. The evidence? By the time fall came around, the couple was spotted trick-or-treating with Chris’s ex-wife, actress Anna Faris (who he was married to for nine years), Anna's boyfriend, and the divorced couple's son, Jack. A month after that, Chris celebrated Thanksgiving with Katherine’s family.
And if that isn't enough, Chris topped off the high-speed romance by proposing to Katherine in January 2019—just seven months after the couple was first seen together and four days after they moved in together. Hey, when you know, you know, right?
Even Anna believed these two were the real deal. She offered them a sweet congratulations in the comment sections of Chris and Katherine’s Instagram engagement-announcement posts writing: "I'm so happy for you both!! Congratulations!" And though he didn’t set them up, Rob Lowe showed his support by attending the couple’s intimate June 2019 wedding ceremony in Montecito.
Now don’t get me wrong, I'm rooting for them, too, and I love a good whirlwind romance...but not all couples who start off strong stay that way. (Just take a look at all the celebrities who’ve called it quits this year already.)
For this reason, I had to call in a pro, Terri Orbuch, PhD, author of 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage From Good to Great and professor at Oakland University in Michigan, to analyze Chris and Katherine’s body language…just to make sure they won't be the next celeb couple to break my heart.
